Affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. Here is exactly what that means and how we mark them.

What "affiliate link" means here

Some of the tools listed in the directory run a partner programme. Where we have an active partnership, the action button on that tool's page and its comparison pages carries an affiliate link — if you sign up through it, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

How you can tell

Every affiliate link is marked with a PARTNER label placed directly under the action button — not in the footer, not on a page you would have to go looking for. You see the disclosure before you click, not after.

Every affiliate link also carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" in its HTML, the standard way of telling search engines a link is paid.

What does not change because of a partnership

Whether a tool has a partner programme has no bearing on whether it is listed, how it is scored, or where it appears in a table. Tables are ordered by name, price, or whatever filter you chose — never by commission. A paid Featured slot is always labelled as such and never changes a table's data or order.

Why we disclose this wayRegulators (in the US, the FTC) require affiliate disclosure to be clear and placed where a reader will see it before clicking a paid link — not buried in a footer. We treat that as a floor, not a ceiling.
